January 18 - Samurai Film Festival
Join us to celebrate and watch three classic Samurai films from the 1950’s and ‘60’s. Samurai III: Duel at Ganryu Island (1956), Tale of Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman (1962) and Lone Wolf and the Cub: Sword of Vengeance (1972)

February 15th - Ikebana Workshop by Saeko Sensei
Join Saeko-sensei as she teaches this popular class on the basics of Japanese flower arrangement. All materials will be supplied.

March 15th - Cherry Blossom Festival - Our biggest event of the year!
Join us for our annual festival featuring tea ceremonies, martial arts, kimono booth, Japanese music & dance, calligraphy, sumo, food & more! Entrance to the garden is FREE.

April 19th - The Art of the Jo: Suio Ryu
The 4 Ft. staff is a simple yet effective classical weapon of Japan that is still in use today by the Japanese police. The Suio Ryu is a 450-year-old tradition that is rare to see outside of Japan. Join us as we learn the basics of this amazing art. Training will be done outside in the garden.

May 17th - Tang Soo Do | Korean Karate by Masters Conrad Ercolono & Adam Parth
Join us in the garden along with two masters of the Korean Fighting Art known as Tang Soo Do. The most famous exponent of this art is Chuck Norris. You will learn the basics of this art including punching, kicking and striking with various parts of your body.

May 17th - Reiki, Yin Yoga & Sound Therapy by Michelle Chua
Join Michelle as she takes us on a healing journey to explore the power of Reiki energy healing, Yin Yoga and sound bath therapy in the beautiful setting of the Shoseian Tea House.

July 19th - Shodo | Japanese Calligraphy by the Japan Foundation
Join us as we learn about the traditional Japanese way of writing known as Shodo. It is a mindful practice of creating beautiful characters with the brush and ink that goes beyond mere writing to express spirit, emotion and focus.

November 15th - Chinese Tea Ceremony by Adam Yasmin
“Gongfu Cha” (tea with effort) is a Chinese tea brewing philosophy emphasizing the wisdom of slowing down & aligning with natural cycles while engaging the senses.
